How Far in Advance Should I Apply for My Taxi Driver Licence?

Up to 16 Weeks Before

Applications are submitted online through DVA. If you've declared a medical condition, it may take extra time to review, so it's worth applying as early as you can. Driving without a current licence is an offence.

Do I Have to Wear My Taxi Driver Badge While Working?

Yes, at All Times

The only exceptions are wedding and funeral jobs. Your badge must stay clearly visible while you're working, and it can't be altered or handed to another driver.
