The safety of customers and drivers is paramount.

  1. Cleanliness of our cars is a priority during this time meaning our drivers have been briefed to regularly disinfect their vehicle’s interior with disinfectant wipes which will be disposed of in the correct manner. Drivers will pay particular attention to touch points within the vehicle – i.e. door handles, seatbelts, window buttons etc.
  2. We would recommend all customers where possible to use the Value Cabs App for bookings. The App can be downloaded from the App Store or Play Store and once downloaded this is the quickest, easiest and safest way to book your taxi without the need to contact the call centre.
  3. Pay by card if you can- using the app to book and pay. This cuts down the contact points between you and the driver.
  4. When there are 1-3 passengers, we would still recommend that they sit in the back of the taxi. We have removed the maximum of three passengers per vehicle policy. If you have more than three passengers, the fourth can be permitted to sit in the front and wear a face covering.
  5. The majority of our vehicles have protective shields fitted between the front and rear seats further reducing contact between passengers and customers.
  6. Face coverings have been mandatory on public transport since 10 July 2020. On 14 October 2020 this requirement was extended to private hire transport and air travel. AllĀ  passengers of post-primary school age and above as well as all staff must now wear a face covering on all forms of passenger transport and in stations, including in taxis. Your driver should also wear a mask, unless he or she is behind a partition or has a reasonable excuse.
